Role Overview:

The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a key enabler of success across our client delivery operations. In this dual-facing role, you will partner closely with our UK based Client Success Managers (CSMs) to enhance client satisfaction through people strategies and directly support our software developers assigned to client projects. You will drive workforce planning, employee engagement, performance management, and organisational development initiatives to strengthen the link between our people, our clients, and our growth goals.

This role demands a commercial mindset, strong operational HR delivery, and a proactive, coaching-led approach within a high-volume, client-driven BPO environment.

Job Description:

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Act as HR advisor to CSMs and Delivery Leadership to optimise client team structures, engagement strategies, and retention. 
  • Embed HR practices that ensure seamless service delivery to clients through motivated and high-performing developers. 
  • Translate client needs into workforce action plans (e.g., upskilling, succession planning, retention risk mitigation).

Talent and Workforce Management

  • Lead developer career pathing in a client-assigned model, balancing client requirements with employee aspirations. 
  • Support onboarding, probation, and deployment of developers to client accounts. 
  • Co-design skills development and technical upskilling programmes alongside Talent Acquisition and L&D teams. 

Coaching, Development, and Support

  • Provide coaching to CSMs and client-facing team leads on leadership, conflict management, and performance improvement. 
  • Mediate and resolve client-employee conflicts to maintain delivery standards without compromising employee engagement. 

Employee Relations and Engagement

  • Handle sensitive employee relations cases across geographically dispersed teams. 
  • Proactively monitor engagement trends across client accounts and recommend interventions.
  • Partner with CSMs to ensure developers feel connected to Cloud Employee’s culture despite being embedded in client environments. 

Organisational Effectiveness

  • Support client team ramp-ups, downsizing, and account transitions with HR best practices. 
  • Lead initiatives to foster belonging, well-being, and continuous feedback among nearshored/offshored talent. 

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local and international employment laws, working standards, and client-specific legal obligations. 
  • Advise on employment issues related to client contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and data protection. 

People Analytics

  • Produce and interpret HR dashboards that provide visibility on turnover, engagement, utilisation rates, and bench risk. 
  • Identify early warning signs of dissatisfaction, attrition risks, and client service delivery risks. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related discipline.  
  • 8+ years of HR experience in fast-paced, client-driven environments; BPO, outsourcing, or professional services experience preferred. 
  • Proven experience supporting cross-functional client-facing teams, ideally including technical or software development staff. 
  • Strong understanding of global labour law compliance and managing remote/distributed workforces. 
  • Skilled in HRIS systems, data-driven HR, and operational reporting.
