The customer

Salmon Software is a leading provider of treasury management solutions, trusted by global clients to manage complex financial operations with control and confidence. With decades of industry experience, they focus on combining deep treasury expertise with modern technology to drive smarter, more efficient financial operations at scale.

When Marcus Kilgour joined Salmon Software as CTO, he brought a clear vision: evolve the company’s longstanding desktop product into a modern SaaS platform. The problem

With strong but small in-house teams in Dublin and the Czech Republic, Salmon Software didn’t have the bandwidth to kick-start their new product while keeping existing systems running. Recruiting locally would have taken months, with senior staff pulled into interviews and onboarding, slowing everything down.

While both regions had solid tech talent, hiring at speed and scale wasn’t realistic. And previous attempts at building out teams through other offshore options hadn’t quite clicked - either due to cultural mismatches or inconsistent technical quality.
