We don’t use any job boards or job ads - we don’t rely on them. Instead, we actually go out and find people, including those working for big companies like Facebook and Google.
My team interviews them and vets them against the job description. Those candidates who pass the initial screening then go on to a Coderbyte test. A Coderbyte test is a coding assessment that our senior engineers build and customize for our clients’ needs.
If they pass that test, they move on to a technical interview with our senior engineers at Cloud Employee. They don’t just ask technical questions, but also run pair programming sessions with them. This helps us gauge how well the candidate would collaborate with fellow developers.
If they pass that stage, they move on to a final stage with me, where I assess their communication skills and soft skills. I think it’s also important that we find the right match for the clients from a cultural perspective.
We then review all the shortlisted CVs and only pick the top two candidates to send to the client. This saves the client a lot of time compared to reviewing hundreds of CVs. That’s the beauty of our hiring engine.
